Step 1: Watch the following video!

The following video gives an in depth tutorial on how to operate one of our chairs as well as troubleshoot any common issues that may arise. Please watch the entire video!

Step 2: Understand the following rules

1. Track chairs have a rougher ride than regular powered wheel chairs. Do not operate if a rough ride may be detrimental to your personal health.

2. The seat belt MUST be worn at ALL times that the trackchair is in motion

3. You are responsible for any damage you may cause to yourself, someone else, the track chair or any state park property.

4. Please be respectful with this chair. It is a free service provided by us to those with mobility impairments. If you tear up the equipment being reckless, this service will cease to exist.

5. Use of this chair should be restricted to areas inside of the State Park ONLY.

6. This chair is only to be used on designated trails and sidewalks. The only off-roading can be done on the beach, but keep it out of the sand dunes.

7. Monitor the battery level closely to ensure you don't get yourself stranded.

8. Do not take this chair to the Jetties. You may make it there, but you won't make it back!

9. This chair is reserved for use on a first come first served basis. We also take reservations, so even if the chair is here, it may still be unavailable.

10. Avoid getting the chair in the water. Puddles and things are fine, but please do not take our chair for a swim in the lake or ocean :)

Most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! Enjoy having your mobility back!

Step 3: Reserve your chair!

Complete the reservation form found under the drop down menu for the park you are visiting. Allow 10-15 minutes to receive a confirmation email. If you have not received a confirmation in the allotted time, please call or text 843-287-7986. ***NOTE: we also have chairs available for use outside of the state park ANYWHERE in SC and parts of NC that can be borrowed for up to a week at a time. They are also free to use just visit the home page and use the reserve now button***

Step 4: Check in with the park office!

This is it! You're good to go. Just take your confirmation message to the park office staff above where this trackchair is being stored. Exchange your drivers license for the chair and go have fun!!!

Step 5: Send us some pictures!

We love to see pictures of the people that use our chairs! If you would like to share some pictures of your adventure with us, we would love to be able to see them! You can use the links below via the social media icons to find us and tag us on social media, or you can text them directly to 843-287-7986!

Step 6: Spread the word and donate!

This step is totally optional, but helps us so much! We exist only through the generosity of people and business in our community who donate to our cause. Our goal is to help everyone get off the pavement regardless of their physical ability or financial status. Our chairs are totally free to use. We do however welcome donations to help us maintain our equipment and to continue to grow and help more people! If you are interested in contributing a tax deductible gift, please use the “Donate” button below! We also need help spreading the word! If you enjoyed your trip, please share us on your social media and with people you come into contact with in the community!
